Dr. Sam Hunter,

Dr. Sam graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from a college in South Africa in 2004, after a 6 year course of study, and was immediately immersed into the exciting world of chiropractic by being offered a position at Sir Richard Branson’s private game lodge, as a part of their wellness centre. This then later led to him accepting the honor of being a pioneer of Chiropractic practice on a cruise ship. On board the Queen Mary 2 he got to meet and treat many clients from over 120 different nationalities, including many Hollywood celebrities and members of the Royal family. After 6 years at sea, traveling around the world and meeting his beautiful wife, Julie (an Aussie) it was time to return to land. He was offered a position in Malaysia with a health care company as their Director of Clinics, which involved the overseeing of the companies Spine and Joint clinics. At the time of Dr. Sam’s leaving Malaysia, the company had built up to 14 state of art clinics, with a substantial staff force. He was also involved in many television and newspaper interviews during his time there; presenting many health care lectures and writing many magazine articles, including being on the Men’s Health magazine board of health care advisors since 2013. In addition to the obvious chiropractic aspects of his practice, Dr. Sam has special interests in musculoskeletal dry needling, therapeutic laser and extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT). He moved back to Melbourne in 2016, with Julie, his wife and young daughter, Miyah, to settle down, and is really excited about working as part of the team, making a difference in people’s health and wellness, as an owner of Peak Chiropractic in Surrey Hills.
Dr. Aaron graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from the New Zealand College of Chiropractic. Proficient and experienced in various chiropractic techniques, he served in Malaysia since 2010 and has worked with thousands of clients across all age groups. He is well loved by his patients and is also a sought after speaker for chiropractic and wellness both locally and internationally. Dr. Aaron was also instrumental in setting up and sitting on the board in the professional regulatory body for Chiropractic in Malaysia called the Association of Chiropractic Malaysia (ACM). Currently he is an owner of Peak Chiropractic, enjoying being part of the team helping people get out of pain and stay out of pain.
Dr. Aaron has also started up and been the managing director of several successful chiropractic practices. He has, because of his professionalism, always been a trusted member of the society and community, and this is demonstrated by his inclusion in a panel of experts which gives expert opinions in health care related court cases.
In addition to being fluent in English, Dr. Aaron is also fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay.
In his spare time, Dr. Aaron loves to whip up gastronomic dishes and has also participated in several cycling and duathlon events. He aims to overcome his fear of the water and take part in a triathlon soon.
Dr. Anthea Holder,
Dr. Anthea Holder was a chiropractic patient from the age of 16, and because of this experience became a Chiropractor herself. She graduated from RMIT in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Applied Clinical Science and a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science in 1999. Chiropractic is a five year full-time university double degree. Since that time she showed a special interest in Family Wellness Chiropractic care and has studied for her Wellness Certification, is certified in Webster Technique (a technique to help expecting mothers) and Applied Kinesiology.
Dr. Anthea Holder has a strong interest in food and cooking. In her spare time she is often found in her kitchen creating new healthy recipes or researching the latest information on the benefits of a clean, real-food, based diet. She herself has had a journey of weight loss and health gain and loves helping others, so they too can experience the same benefits of a healthier body.
Co-creator of the Peak Wellness Program she has presented her principles of health to many public speaking events around Melbourne, community groups, schools and businesses.
Dr. Anthea Holder is married to Frank and they both enjoy spending time exercising whether it being in the gym or outside, hiking, pushbike riding and motorbike riding. She is dedicated to offering people choices about their health and lifestyle through sharing her knowledge of Chiropractic and living a healthy lifestyle.
Dr. Rebecca Chen,
Dr. Rebecca Chen graduated with distinction from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Health Science (Chiropractic) and Master of Clinical Chiropractic. During her final semester in her postgraduate studies, she was student representative of a chiropractic mission trip to Philippines. It was an unforgettable trip with a plethora of eye-opening and humbling experiences in which she had the opportunity to treat the locals from various towns and villages. Having experienced what little kindness and help could do to so many people, she was inspired to always treat from the heart and to serve the community as much as she can. Her fondness for little bubs grew stronger when she became an aunt to an adorable niece, which is also the reason why she is eager to learn more about chiropractic for paediatrics and expecting mothers.
Dr. Rebecca enjoys cooking and baking in her free time. Yoga is also one of her favourite escape from the daily stresses of life. She enjoys traveling, indulging in local delicacies and immersing herself in different culture as she thinks it would widen one’s world view.
Apart from English, Dr. Rebecca is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay. She aspires to empower patients to be actively in charge of their health and to educate patients on how to achieve the lifestyle changes that could make a difference to their lives.
Lizzie Van Der Ploeg,
Lizzie’s interest in health started at a young age, throughout High School she enjoyed her Physical Education classes and Health and Human Development. Amongst the things she learnt at school, her own research and personal experience, she became interested in natural health and healing. When she graduated, Lizzie applied for a Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Health Promotion, minoring in Sports Psychology. This degree encompassed a great deal of anatomy and physiology and also nutrition. She enjoys learning and understanding how the body and mind work together to achieve optimal health and well-being and she is always eager to expand her knowledge. In her spare time Lizzie enjoy playing Netball and Football, Swimming, Reading, Cooking and exploring new places with friends.
Di has always been interested in health and alternative health care and she previously owned a women's gym on the Gold Coast before moving back to Victoria to be closer to her family.
Di became a chiropractic assistant with Peak Chiropractic in 2011 so has worked here for nearly 6 years. She has been an avid supporter of Chiropractic, having had a history of back pain previously successfully treated by a chiropractor, and now has been a chiropractic patient for almost 20 years. She enjoys coming to work every day to see all the wonderful patients we have and meeting new patients.
She now has 6 grandchildren and so is kept very busy outside of the clinic too. She enjoys walking, going to the movies and spending time with her family and friends.
